EDITORIALS

How to get your product reviewed.

Want to shout about a new product that you offer?
Here at the BMA we are constantly looking for new and innovative products to tell our members about. You can receive a free editorial in our features section by simply sending a sample of the product for us to try. Our editorials will be based solely on our opinions of the product, good or bad. On the rare occasion that we review a product that we regard as ‘totally unfit for purpose” we will usually withhold the review. Contact [email protected] for details

We often get requests from companies that wish to write their own articles on their products/services. These are obviously self-serving as the company is promoting their own products. If you wish to run such an article, we offer you the option of purchasing an advertorial. These will be highlighted as, so as to be clearly presented to the reader as something other than an objective editorial. Self written articles can be of substantial value and service to our readers, the key factor of a successful article is to ensure that it is free from hype and over self-promotion. Our readers have an open mind when reading our features page, and to much hype can ruin the whole experience, and switch them off of your product.

How to submit an advertorial.

If you are interested in submitting an article to be published on the BMA website, there are a few key rules that apply.

We run all advertorial pieces both on the main BMA website, as well as the local BMA office micro site for the area (if applicable)

All news items MUST be motoring related and must fit a specific format that we will not deviate from. The best way to get coverage is to meet this format.

Each news item consists of:-

  • A headline
  • Summary of the article
  • A link to more information
  • An image (optional)

The headline should be no more that 5-8 words long

The summary should be no more than 3000 words long and be spell checked and punctuated. Ensure that you use paragraphs appropriately. We will not do this for you, it is your responsibility to ensure that your article reads well and has the best impact for our readers.

The link is the most important part, as it links the reader to your website. Make sure to send us a link that doesn’t change, and directs readers to somewhere specific to the news item.

The image must be 250px X 250px simple as that. Any images sent that do not meet the detailed size will not be included in the article
