Taxed & Taged

10 Jun 2008

More worry for the poor motorist as the charges for Manchester is given the Go-ahead.

£5.00 per day is the motorist lot during peek times. As dear Ruth Kelly your Minister for Transport gives a Thumbs up and a green light for the scheme,. They argue that this project will save jobs,as 30,000 could be lost if traffic problems are not resolved.

"What"!, I hear you say, were on earth does this figure come from, we suggest it's just a POLE TAX FOR WHEELS .

Apparantly the Tory council people, are complaining they have been bullied into this "cash for congestion charging deal" or face missing out on other taxpayer schemes!

Motorists will spend as much as £1200 per year, by paying £25 per week for 48 weeks

Manchester is going to be divided into inner and outer zones.

Cars will be Tagged and will cost £2 for outer routes and £1 for the inner city routes, then they would charged  between 7am & 9.30 am and 4pm & 6.30 pm,but the good news is no other charges for outside those hours and No charge at weekends and Bank holidays- Yippee
