Fire demonstrates importance of caravan insurance

15 Jun 2007

A caravan fire in Blackpool has once again highlighted the importance of taking out comprehensive caravan insurance.
It is difficult for caravan owners to ensure that their motor home is protected 24-hours a day and the latest incident to hit a caravan has highlighted how unpredictable the situation can be.

The Blackpool Citizen reports that police are looking for juveniles following the incident, which saw a blaze destroy a caravan in the early hours of Saturday morning, causing £6,000 of damage to the caravan.

A witness reported that a group of juveniles had been spotted near Grizedale Road, in Blackpool, shortly before the caravan blaze began in that street and as such police are keen to speak to these juveniles.

Because incidents such as this can happen anywhere and at any time, taking out comprehensive caravan insurance is vital to ensuring that the caravan owner will not have to fork out large sums of money to repair the damage.
