Petrol Boom for the Government

29 Jan 2008

The BMA and other Motoring organisations have urged the Chancellor Alistair Darling to give up the Proposed 2p fuel duty rise,in fact we at the BMA would like the October rise of 2p to also be scrapped.

700 Road haulage Companies face a Bleak future and are being forced out of business and onto the Dole Queue, allowing our European Friends to take our business. they will be Laughing all the way to the Bank.

To add insult to injury -Shell are about to announce £13.6 Billion Profits -a record for a British firm, if it not Shell then its BP.

Don't forget the Chancellor takes TWO THIRDS  yes  TWO THIRDS of the Litre at the Pump.

Five years ago the price for a Litre was 71p now we are seeing £1.05 per litre- This Taxing of our Citizens and our Business's must stop. This Chancellor is Hell Bent on adding to the Motorists Misery!

British Motorist Association says "Lets really start to push for a better deal, contact :- www.number-10.gov.uk  and tell the Government you are Either Members or Readers of the BMA and you want The TAX SCRAPPED."
